Run Nona Celebrates 12 Years

Run Nona Celebrates 12 Years

More than 2,750 family, friends and runners joined us to celebrate the 12th Annual Run Nona 5k & Nemours Kids Run.

Lake Nona’s hometown girl and top 10 American Idol contestant, Alyssa Raghu kicked it off with the National Anthem.

The sold-out Nemours Kid’s Run was packed with cuteness. Our littlest runners had some of the biggest strides.

A new route took runners through Laureate Park where they had beautiful views of the neighborhood and its colorful homes. A big boost of encouragement came from neighbors who cheered them on as they ran by.

An epic block party in the Lake Nona Town Center welcomed runners over the finish line with live music, tasty food, and fun for the youngest runners in the Nemours’ Kids Zone.

Nona Soccer Academy, our Team Challenge winner for the second year in a row, designated $500 to Nona Royals Basketball Academy, a local nonprofit that offers training camps, clinics and more to help basketball players of all experience levels improve their game.

Proceeds from Run Nona 2019 support the ONE Bahamas Fund, established by our sister companies (ALBANY, Bahamas and Nexus Luxury Collection) and Justin Timberlake, Tiger Woods, and Royal Bank of Canada to support the restoration and rebuilding of the Bahamas after the devastating impact of Hurricane Dorian.
